My Father who is 91, had care with Phoenix support for 8 months. Unfortunately, my father developed a bad case of shingles. This meant his care calls took longer, and the staff sometimes ran over. I tried to increase the length of time allocated from 45 minutes to 75, but going through social services took time. Then on Wednesday 7th October 2022 at 4.30, I got the phone call from social services to inform me that Phoenix had handed my dad’s care back and that they were no longer able provided care! I was shocked and disappointed, I felt let down and betrayed. I was left for a week with out carers, had I been informed I could have found an agency myself. I did not receive a letter, not a phone call or a text, absolutely nothing. We missed out on the opportunity to thank the staff and say our good byes. It felt unprofessional, and discourteous. I had had conversations with the Manager Laurence, and found him to be very reasonable, so why he chose not to inform us baffled me. Then I realised it was because my father was taking too long in the mornings and that less money is made with the longer calls than the short calls! Unfortunately, we find ourselves in a situation where care agencies can cherry pick their clients, and dump anyone who is too much like hard work! Shame on you Phoenix

Incredibily caring and empathetic manager became so afraid for my (a complete stranger)'s safety within seconds of the call commencing, that she almost got dragged into her own panic attack because she sensed mine coming. I will always be a very fierce protector of any organisation which genuinely cares so much about complete strangers' mental and physical health, safety, healing and support, while not being paid anywhere near enough to do so. They have the capacity to feel an almost maternal love and worry for someone they only met seconds ago. The abuse towards helpful, caring, kind- and golden-hearted, and entirely selfless people has GOT TO STOP. #stoptheabuseofgoodpeople #goodpeoplestandtogether #savetheworld #savehumanity ✊💪❤️

Highly unprofessional. Initially it was great I was working with Lucy, interview arranged, attended etc. Then completely stopped responding or answering with any texts or emails which is so disheartening and unprofessional

Phoenix Support--that's a misnomer for a start. Apart from one or two of the carers(who seem to be caring) I found that the majority were rude, bullying and wanted to leave before they entered. We were informed by Social Services that Phoenix had withdrawn our support(Monday 06/09/2021) and Phoenix have never had the graciousness to tell us why. As of today(11/09/2021)we have had no evening visits and only two morning visits again without any information. But that's about the norm. In the past we have had sporadic visits without being informed that we would not be having a visit. They kept changing our agreed times for visits without informing us. It was a bit upsetting to be told by Social Services that support had been withdrawn but really it has been a godsend. We gave them chanc after chance but things never got any better. The usual excuse was that they had no staff--if that is the case they ought to shut up shop and call it a day. Do not even think of setting this firm on as your carer. If Lorna O'Shea is reading this, I should visit them and give them a good shake up----new management would be a good place to start. No stars

I had One of the staff called Louise a 20-25 year old girl unexperienced, Rude person last week, she had strong smell of marijiwana on her. They should not send stoned staff and put orderly people at risk. This made me to think twice to use Phoenix Support ever again. Shame on you.
