Very professional treatment but with the enough flexibility for my circumstances. We set up the survey appointment without not much time in advance and they managed to accommodate it. They kindly attended my requests for the issues to pay more attention to and also highlighted problems I wasn't aware that were related to my main worry, potential damp or leak problems. They helped me to identify some of those potential issues in the surrounding areas of the property. They were open and empathetic and the report was done in the time and shape I was expecting.

We had a very negative experience for the following reasons: 1. We paid for a 'level 3' survey, which failed to pick up a significant amount of visible asbestos and two disused asbestos-containing water tanks in the loft. I understand this is not an asbestos survey, but the surveyor, according to the RICS guidelines, "should properly emphasise the suspected presence of asbestos containing materials if the inspection identifies that possibility". As the material was visible in plain sight throughout the loft, the surveyor should have identified it. Removal costs were high. 2. The report included no information as to the estimated cost of remediation works. Many level 3 surveys include this. 3. The report arrived significantly later than promised, and when it arrived, it related to a completely different property. The corrected report took another 9 days to arrive, which was far later than we needed it. 4. The surveyor was difficult to deal with. I called a few times (not excessively) to ask questions about the property, and was told to 'wait for the report' and 'stick to the process' (quite ironic in view of 3. above). I really don't like writing negative reviews, but felt compelled to share our experience in this instance.
