We contacted Pirtek at Penrith on a Sunday for a hose and parts not because it was urgent, just because it was open. The person who answered the phone said he would meet us at the Penrith office at a set time with the part. We went got the part had in fitted in 10 min, this man’s child was with him while it was done (not a problem it was a Sunday). However when we received the invoice we had been charged £47.50 for a service call, £97 travel and £32 labour on top of the item which only cost £85. When we questioned the invoicing we were told ‘that’s just what it is’. We were not told at the time that the Penrith office was not manned and that the additional fees would be charged, it is not our fault they chose not no man the Penrith office. Reluctantly we paid the outstanding fee the day the invoice was queried, however over a month later they were contacting us for payment. We will never use Pirtek ever again.

We had a hydraulic leak late one afternoon which caused our delivery vehicle to become unusable - no tail lift, no delivery! The Pirtek guys from Penrith were there within an hour and sorted it out really effciently without any fuss, and the cost was less than expected. Overall a superb service and while I hope we don't need them again, would be straight on the phone to them if we had to.

Couldn't get my oil pipes on my classic bike made up anywhere in Carlisle because they said my ends couldn't be re-used. Members of Honda Owners Club said find a Pirtek and they'd do it. Went to Penrith and sure enough, guy there, sorry forgot his name, area manager I think, took my pipes down to Preston and made them up. Couldn't believe what a great job they made of them. Top marks.
