Where can I even start? Fantastic company. First and foremost. The showroom. It is heavenly, like going back in time to a little chinese pawn shop. Filled with vintage memorabilia! There's this kind little fellow with a flat cap, Steve. So attentive, so talkative. Apparently he is a master at the banjo. And although as I talked to him, it mighthave seemed as though he was completely ignoring everything I said, and in a world of his own, but really its because he knows EXACTLY what you need, and is busy tailoring it to your needs even as you speak. It doesnt even bother me that he proceeds to roll up his cigarettes as im speaking. Anyway as I look to my right I see this other man, sat at his desk eating chicken. now at first I believed this was Steve's half minded understudy, but much to my surprise this humbly dressed man was actually the boss. But, not judging a book by its cover, this was the start of a fruitful, long lasting friendship. In no time my kitchen was templated and awaiting some gorgeous well polished worktops. It only took 3 weeks to get them, but this was because tHey broke the first batch (thankfully steve told me straight away, and it was clear he himself was very emotional about it). I might add, although I hope I'm not rambling on, that on my first visit I happened to take a cheeky look into the fabulous workshop... where the magic happens. Here I was greeted by an all consuming mist of powdery dust. It smelt so genuine and fabulous. the floor was carpeted in a thick white sludge and I'm happy to say i was lucky enough to get some of it wedged deep into my shoes, so I could take some home to my wife and show her the iconic precious stone goodness! But anyway, I digress. On the long awaited day of the installation (it was like waiting for chritsmas) we were greeted by a beast of a man, covered head to toe in tattoos, but as I have previously mentioned I shouldn't judge a book by its cover. my first thoughts were "what prison did this thug just get released from?". but I was pleased to find that this man was an absolute pleasure, very polite, also quite emotional at some points and even asked me to give him a hug. I was also pleased to find he had brought his dog along with him, and although it looked quite unsavoury, almost gangster like, I was humbled by how well trained it was. it even seemed to carry with it a most delightful, pungent smell, one that remained in my house for the weeks to come! Overall my granite experience was one for the scrapbooks, and I am very happy. I will remember this experience for the rest of my life! Small businesses like this are the best. it's. always best to shop local, that's where you find the characters! Thanks everyone! 5 out of 5!

After visiting many potential suppliers over a 6 month period, we chose Precious Stone based on friendly, straight-talking staff (Steve), super references and excellent value for money. Maybe not the fanciest showroom but who really needs that? The other Steve and his colleague Sam did a thoroughly professional job templating and fitting the quartz worktops that provide the finishing touch to our new kitchen. Thanks so much guys!

Great worktops! Great team! After talking through my tastes and sharing images of my surfaces and space they posted out some samples for me to see in our own kitchen during lockdown. Then they helped me through the measuring process and order process expertly. Finally, fitting team were courteous, tidy and really helpful! Stunning worktop, easy process - even in these strange new times. Thank you. Highly recommend.
