Sam is such a dedicated midwife. The best I've ever known. She REALLY cares about how women feel and wants to ensure that they can make their own choices. She informs and empowers women whilst fully supporting and guiding them through their pregnancy and labour. By the time I laboured she knew me so well and knew the outcomes that I wanted that she was able to help give me the labour that I wanted, despite factors out-with our control meaning that it wasn't in the location I would have liked. I am so thankful that Sam was by my side through this pregnancy and labour as I am sure that without her things would have been different. Thanks to Sam I can look back on this, my third labour, and feel proud of what we achieved. Sam also went above and beyond with both the antenatal and post natal care. During my pregnancy she spent lots of time getting to know me and working on relaxation and providing reflexology, which allowed me time to relax and focus on my hypnobirthing. After my baby was born she regularly messaged me to check that we were both ok and gave advice if I needed it; I knew that she was always there if I needed her. She came to see me regularly and was wonderfully patient and calm. She kept me on as a patient until longer that my previous midwives have done to ensure that both my baby and I were completely fine before she finished my care. Sam is one of a kind and I would (and do!) recommend her to anyone. The care I received was second to none.

I had my little girl in November, in the middle of a global pandemic. I chose to go with an independent midwife due to the stresses of the pandemic and the extra care and reassurance I needed personally. I chose the ante natal and post natal package and had decided I would deliver in hospital rather than a home birth, this was the best package for me personally. Sam is absolutely amazing, I'm such a worrier and pregnancy to me is very stressful but Sam always knew how to reassure me. She also provides reflexology sessions as part of the package which I found extremely relaxing and the Hypno birthing tracks help prep me for labour. Whether my appointments were in the comforts of my own home or in Sam's calm and relaxing environment she has on her farm , I always felt comfortable. I delivered at the friarage with sam by my side and my experience was positive from start to finish, Sam was by my side and gave me the encouragement I needed at such a special time. The post natal period was stressful due to my little girls weight loss and poor weight gain, Sam was excellent in providing breatsfeeding advice and ensuring I was okay at such a challenging time. She brought us home cooked food , which we really appreciated especially when we were so tired and drained. I can't thank Sam enough , everytime we met for an appointment it was like chatting with a friend. I can definitely recommend Sam for a positive birth experience. Sam provides the most thorough, impeccable and sincere care. We can't thank her enough 😍😍😍

Approachable, knowledgeable, good sense of humour - Sam put me at ease as soon as I met her. There's not much more you could want in a midwife. Not only did she listen to everything I wanted and was concerned about, she went above and beyond the call of duty to advocate for me when it came to dealing with the local hospital. Her reflexology session during my labour helped everything along nicely! I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Sam. I'm so glad I met her - a positive birth experience is so much more than just the giving birth part, it's everything that leads up to it and everything that comes afterwards. On this front, Sam offers a truly five star experience. I think it helps that she clearly loves her job and, more importantly, loves to empower women so that they feel confident and relaxed on their birth journey. Having had two difficult experiences in the past, Sam helped to work through that past trauma so that I could go into this new experience feeling good. There was a slight hitch towards the end of my pregnancy, as my baby was in a breach position, but Sam offered some advice and exercises - and, coincidence or not (maybe it was just being reassured that helped) - on my next appointment baby was head down and ready to go. I would recommend her services without reservation - actually, with enthusiasm!

Sam was just fantastic. As soon as I attended her hypnobirthing refresher course I knew we had a connection and she would be able facilitate and support me in having a positive birth experience. The prenatal reflexology and hypnobirthing sessions were the perfect mixture of informative and relaxing while preparing me for my labour. I always felt Sam listened to my wishes while providing me with all the information I needed when making decisions about my labour, as well as pointing me in the direction of extra sources of information for further reading if needed. After receiving such great continuity of care throughout my pregnancy I was super relaxed and even excited about the birth of our second baby knowing Sam would be by my side to support both me and my husband. Sam is attentive, kind natured and has a great breadth of midwifery experience and knowledge. I could not have asked for better care resulting in a wonderful birth experience.

I can not recommend Sam enough, her kind, caring and professional personality will make you feel at ease and safe throughout your journey. My first pregnancy was an ectopic pregnancy and since then I have been lucky enough to go on to have two healthy daughters. I went to Sam for reflexology before, during and after my pregnancies and it made me feel so positive and relaxed. I can’t stress enough how much Sam helped me throughout the good and bad times. During my pregnancies Sam provided exemplary midwifery care giving me the confidence to have the pregnancy and birth that I hoped for. I highly recommend this fantastic midwife.
