BEWARE - Project Tyres don't appear to be operating anymore despite the website being active and continuing to take bookings. A big nail punctured my tyre so I needed mobile fitting as I was unable to drive to a garage. Project Tyres seemed to offer local service and good prices so I booked 2 new tyres via the website to be fitted on a Thurs. I needed the car to take my family camping the day after on Fri. Booking went through perfectly. Got a txt message & email confirming. Thought everything was fine. Morning of the fitting arrived but no-one turned up. I thought that was strange as the site said the fitter would call ahead but nothing. Got to lunchtime (end of the morning slot I'd booked) and still nothing so I called the number, but no pickup so I left a message. Still nothing several hours later so more calls, more diversions to answerphone, no fitter. Given I needed the car to be working the next day I was now in a massive dilemma. Luckily after ringing around local garages I found one who could supply the tyres I needed so I removed the wheels myself and drove them to the garage to get new tyres fitted. All in all, several extra hours of my working day taken up panicing - and I ended up paying £50 more for the tyres than if I'd been able to pre-order them. Still no response from Project Tyres - no cancellation, no apology - nothing. I assume they've gone bust. At least you don't pay up front. AVOID.
