TLDR; raw crab portion was extremely tiny, despite tasting really good Came here mainly to try the raw crabs which we were very excited for. We ordered the som tum raw crab, which tasted really good, and was actually a good spice level for people who enjoy really spicy food. However, for £17, the portion is honestly a bit of a joke? It came with 4 crab legs, with each leg literally being one bite-size (as shown in the picture). So basically we paid £17 for 4 bites of crabs and some radish on the side. We were really excited to try their crab but were really disappointed with how small the portion was. According to the staff, the crabs were smaller than usual, which I feel like they could’ve compensated for by including an extra leg or two? We tried some of their other dishes too, which had fair portions and tasted good too, but nonetheless the crabs were what made us visit this restaurant in the first place, and we were let down by the extremely small portion.

Came all the way from Kent to try this restaurant but I was really disappointed with the service. Food did not arrive for over an hour, no effort from staff to resolve the situation other than repeatedly telling us that it will be coming in 10 minutes’ time. All the tables that came after us got their food so clearly it’s not just a case of the kitchen being busy. A good dinning experience is more than just the food (which I did not have a chance to try). Edit: We were invited back to dine after the mishap we had in the last visit… and the food was awesome! The highlight of the meal were the two salad we originally wanted to have: raw crab salad and prawn thai shimi. Zero regret guaranteed if you love spice and raw seafood. Be warned though, the spice level is authentic and is enough to give the uninitiated a mini migraine. Also had pork belly pad kra pao with Thai style fried egg (semi deep fried egg) just because I love anything pad kra pao. The boat noodle brings you to the street of Bangkok.

Our first visit fell short of expectation due to miscommunication in the kitchen. Being invited back I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m happy to say the second attempt was a satisfying experience. The raw crab salad and prawn thai-shimi were fresh, spicy and bursting with flavour. For the Sukothai noodles we were offered the authentic Thai experience - with fish sauce, vinegar, chilli powder and sugar on the side that can be added to our liking. Glad to have found an authentic Thai restaurant with an extensive menu that offers more than the average pad thai.

We were visiting London from Scotland. I found Raitakrai last minute online and was able to book a late night table. Staff were all so welcoming and friendly. Food was incredible! Beautiful, fresh authentic Thai food. Flavours were spot on. Would love to come back! Thank you

We went to the restaurant to try the raw crab salad which was great 👍 Other than that, there are lots of room to improve. Half of the rice was hard as it may be from the bottom of the pot or simply old and got dried. Their service wasn’t good at all - they didn’t give us a starter but charged us. We pointed it out and then they corrected the bill. We found service was slow and we had to remind them a few times to get our orders.

Yen ta fo is super yummy so we went back again a week later. Although the second time is not as good as the first time cos its too sweet (for me) but all in all I will definitely return to this place again. Be prepared the waiting time for food for dinner might be longer than lunch time, based on my experience, the waiting time between the1st and the4th dish was about 20-25mins but we enjoyed our time with friends so we did't mention this to them. Service was good though.
