Went here after seeing Eltham Palace. I was under the impression I could get a classic english pie, as a tourist, seemed like a good idea. It was not. This is the type of food that gives rise to all those jokes about english food being bland and tastless. It was simultaneously void of any aroma and too salty. The mash was ok, and I finished the meal so I wasn't hungry, and it says a lot that this is the only positive I can find.

CLOSED SUNDAY'S! Pies back to there best! Has to be my favourite pies now there back to being made the traditional way with gravy inside instead of a dry meat mix like a pervious review mentioned. Its more of a all day cafe then just a pie & mash shop serving everything you'd expect. Pie, chips and beans with lashing of onion gravy is definitely my favourite here. Sunday roast are available again (£9), good meat, great potatoes and fresh veg which was a little over done for my liking. If you've got a big appetite you may want to ask for more potatoes, 3 per dinner. All dishes available for takeaway and delivery. Did mention to management it could do with some stuffing and parsnips so watch this space. Friendly staff. pay and display parking available in the near by Sainsburys car park
