Room 236, stay away. You have been warned! Best guess was that it was a converted cupboard, good job we didn’t have a cat because if I had swung it would have had severe headache from bouncing off every wall. It was tiny but even worse was the fact the Floor slopes and so does the bed towards the head board and then to the left so you feel constantly like your falling out of bed, very strange nights sleep. Hotel itself was fine, staff were good but price for what was a tiny box which should never have been made into a room was extortionate!

Rooms: Room really tired but clean. View of fire escape and rear yard of what looks like a derelict building. Food & drinks: Food buffet both breakfast and evening meal, our preference. It was delicious and simple, the best.

On visiting The Royal Hotel in Scarborough this weekend to attend a dance weekender event we found only one bar open and this was card only. As we always use cash we found this discriminatory and disappointing. Needless to say we did not purchase any drinks there and will not be returning. Food & drinks: Unavailable as no cash accepted.
