S. Carter & Son could not have made my Mother's funeral anymore special or personal. We had previously used the same company for my Father's funeral 12 years ago and had a similar experience. Lily conducted the initial meeting and achieved a perfect balance of empathy and professionalism. Any query we had was swiftly actioned and explained very well. She was also able to recommend a celebrant (Liz) who was completely amazing. The call we had with Liz was very reassuring and on the day it could not have been better. From S. Carter & Son, Darren lead on the day and made everything so incredibly smooth and respectful. Noboddy wants to have to arrange a funeral but for the sad times it happens, S. Carter & Son are without doubt the best choice in my (and my family's) opinion

S Carter & Son are a traditional firm of Funeral Directors based in Wickford. My family first used their services 38 years ago for my Grandad's funeral, thereafter for my Nan's funeral in 1994. Last year they dealt with the funeral arrangements for my late Mum. They are professional, compassionate and dealt with everything exactly as per our wishes. Thanks must also go to the stonemason department that dealt with the inscription on the headstone and installing the kerbstone on the grave at Wickford Cemetery.

Following the sad passing of my Mother, I was recommended to contact S.Carter & Son of Wickford, from the first call I was made to feel at ease as they explained the next steps I needed to take. On making the arrangements I was impressed by the kindness and understanding shown to me and my family. On the day of the funeral the bearers, drivers and cars were immaculate, and everything was carried out with professionalism and dignity.
