    I felt compelled to write a glowing testimony of the amazing service. These guys gave to me and my family over Christmas. We’d planned a pre-Christmas get-together for family and had ordered (an amazing) free range turkey. The turkey at self was absolutely stunning. It was when things began to go wrong for my trip back up to York that these guys really stepped up. Basically, I got ill, couldn’t make the trip up to York and had nobody else to pick up the turkey for the event that was happening the following day. When my only remaining option was to get this turkey, a taxi (!) Darren offered to deliver it - to strensall. Needless to say the pre-Christmas event went ahead without a hitch (and without me) thanks to people who still believe in community and looking after each other. Very special thank you

    This is a wonderful butchers, the pork pies and the pork and black pudding pies are wonderful. However the price of the pies is astronomical at £2 each it’s not worth the money. They used to be reasonably priced prior to Covid, however since Covid they have put them in sealed bags which seems to have knocked the price up a lot. However if you can afford them they are very very tasty however just a little bit expensive
