Inadequate Latching Mechanism and Expensive Product I hardly write a review, especially if my opinion is negative. However, I strongly felt that I must do this. I bought a heavy matt whiteboard and fitted it with the help of an experienced professional. First the Pros: The quality of the board itself is fine. I did notice later that a similar quality board is available for about half price from Amazon. The delivery was quick enough. However, for a heavy board, they provide the bare minimum 4 clips to fix the board to the wall. The board latches (sits) on to two clips at the bottom while the top two clips latch and ‘hold’ the board – these two clips can slightly move up/down to latch to the board. According to the company, this is enough even for heavier boards. But it is NOT SAFE ENOUGH in my opinion. In fact, the board FELL on my head and caused bleeding. But these have a few serious safety issues: 1) the strength of the clips themselves are fine but the latching mechanism at the top end is not perfect. Any slight movement of the clips might lose the hold and the board would fall, and 2) Only four clips in total hold the board and there is no other mechanism to stop the board falling accidentally, 3) The supplied screw-plugs may not be for the plaster walls. They sell that type of screw-plugs separately. Luckily, our fitting professional did use the same type of plugs to hold the latches The company’s support answered immediately (one of the pros), but they are in complete denial of this and insist that the fitting is at fault, not the inadequate latching mechanism. I would recommend anyone to avoid them. Besides, you can get a cheaper board with similar quality elsewhere and make sure yourself that they do contain a safe fitting mechanism.

I contacted SAM International UK for information on whether their glassboards can withstand hot environments like conservatories at temparatures of 40 - 50 Celsius. The email response, whilst informative about what the glassboard is made off, didn't give any advice. So I phoned. And wow....the person I spoke to could not of been more disinterested, unhelpful if she tried. Looks like I will be shopping elsewhere in future for my glassboards...

Terrible company who cannot deliver what they say and give no communication on progress of order. I have just lost 2 weeks waiting for something that should be here by now and have been told, after ring them, it will be another 2 weeks. Order cancelled and now no doubt I'll be fighting to get my money back. AVOID!!!!
