I have been here for 5 weeks and that included a week extension which helped me massively. I chose to come to this facility and can honestly say it was the best decision of my life. I was on death's door literally and came straight to A&E, I was greeted by Sandra and was made welcome from the get go. It took me a few days to settle and there was a point where I wanted to leave, however from somewhere I had the courage to stay with the help from Stevie & Dorrell and seemed to get stronger by the day. By week 3 i was happy to admit my wrongs and accept the consequences that came from my actions and will leave being able to handle them going forward. I was assigned Kim as my therapist and have been amazed at her support and guidance through my journey, without her I wouldn't have completed my treatment. The daily sessions, workshops & holistic treatments have given me the tools and guidance I need to stay clean and live a life in recovery. All the support staff, chefs, cleaners have been welcoming and I have also made bonds with them all. It has been a pleasure to meet everyone and will take everything I have learned and carry this forward and give back as I have received. I will miss everyone but will be back to share. Last but not least thank you to Maria, her recovery and talks have been wise and given me the hope that anyone can recover if they want it enough. Dan x

A absolute crazy place with very low success rate and Maria isn’t safe to be in such a place but should really go for therapy herself or in an asylum. Shame really with the right manger the place has lots of potential

Avoid at all costs, below 5% success rate (confirmed by the actual workers there and great for repeat business), Totally incompetent manager whose over inflated ego obviously was filtered down to sarcastic staff whose egos got the better of them, especially some of the therapists, but not all. Whilst I was there I saw staff bullying fragile clients mentally and see themselves as superior, although they are ex-addicts. Money better spent with “Real” professional help, swerve at all costs! I note that below that they say they have no record of me staying there, well that’s because ‘Oswaldbowser’ is my anonymous name as I live extremely close to the facility and don’t wish to have bad feelings against myself…..most people that do reviews don’t use their proper names, as in this country we are a nation that doesn’t like to complain. My review is genuine and the staff turnover of good staff is high, because of the way they are treated as well.

Sanctuary Lodge saved my life! When I entered Sanctuary, I didn’t know what to expect but I knew I needed to remove myself from my own bubble and begin my journey of recovery because I couldn’t carry on living in the destruction, shame, guilt and despair of my addiction anymore…… it was sanctuary who opened my eyes to my addiction. The warmth, love, care and consideration and above all understanding that the staff at sanctuary offered me was and still is (after 18 months clean) without a doubt why I am living my best life now. The support and therapy offered with love and no shame was paramount. The knowledge I gained about my addiction is invaluable. All the staff were committed to helping me help myself. It’s a beautiful setting and the day I walked through those doors was the day my life began. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious and the food was outstanding! I had my first “belly” laugh, which I hadn’t experienced for many years, at sanctuary. The connection with the other clients there was my first experience of being around other addicts……. And let me tell you, THAT is a beautiful experience and gift. I was allowed to be me. I am still in touch with lots of friends who were in sanctuary with me and that shared experience will be something I never forget and I will be forever grateful to Sanctuary Lodges staff for being able to share their experiences and knowledge and offering the setting. Thank you all at Sanctuary Lodge 🙏❤️

After deciding I needed to go to rehab, I had a thorough and detailed telephone assessment the day before I arrived. Upon arrival I was greeted by two compassionate, and caring members of staff, who despite my distress, put me immediately at ease. During my time at sanctuary lodge I was given incredible support by management, therapists and support workers. My own room and the communal areas were spotless at all times, and the food was beautiful. The group therapies aided me in my recovery and were complimented by sessions of acupuncture, gong therapy, yoga and meditation. I highly recommended Sanctuary Lodge and want to thank all the staff.

When I arrived at Sanctuary Lodge I was scared, insecure, anxious, full off shame and guilt. In time I learned to connect with those feelings, emotions and face my demons. Learning and working the program with the amazing therapists has taught me how to live a healthier fulfilling life. I had the pleasure of Julie being my therapist who understood me and was confident in my recovery. All the staff are so supportive. The breakfast, lunch and dinner, was always perfect. My room was clean and comfortable so I slept very well. I cannot recommend Sanctuary Lodge enough with their determination to helping unwell people like myself to get well and live a more magnificent magical life. Thank to you all at Sanctuary Lodge 🙏🏻❤️
