I don’t think I’ve ever been more impressed with the staff at any jewellers than I was at Saunders and Pughe. From the moment my wife and I entered the shop we were greeted with a warm smile and allowed to peruse the fine hand made jewellery at our leisure. Both Marianne and Robert (the proprietors) we’re full of information and details of all the items we looked at and we were made to feel so special we eventually left the shop having spent over £2k! She now has a sparkling bracelet and I have a sparkling wife. Thank you S&P.

after 10 mins approximately of browsing and trying one watch , the owner came out from inside and talk to the sale women who was very nice with us ,( Put the jewelleries inside and let them see it from out side the cabinet only , you can't try them on . We got shocked as well as the sales woman and he said this is my shop and this is my rules , ( strange man) !! Very inappropriate way to deal with people who wants to buy from your shop. Nerve recommended.

What a fabulous jewellers with so much knowledge and attention to detail, my husband suprised me by asking them to make a piece of jewellary for my birthday. The whole experience was wonderful and their attention to detail and friendly and personable customer service was excellent. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My husband bought me a few pieces of pear jewelry for our 'pearl wedding anniversary' which I love. Unfortunately over a couple of years the elastic in the bracelet became lose so I was ! afraid to wear it. I approached Sanders and Pughe and asked if there was anything they could do. I left it with the nice lady who said - we can't have that we'll help. I was quoted £25 to re thread the bracelet which I thought alot of money as it was a two minute job . I took the bracelet to Kirsty Taylor and for the same job she quoted me £8 or £12.50 to put it on wire and have a fastening. Shame Saunders and Pughe wantetd to make money and not think of customer service.

Highly disappointing. We've always loved this shop and have bought a lot of jewellery from here over the years. Waited outside for 15 minutes to get in due to restrictions which I can completely understand. Then as we were walking through the door, hadnt even had a chance to look at a thing, the woman came over and asked if me and my mum were after something or just looking. I said just looking at the moment as I was not 100% sure what I was going to get having not had a chance to even look and she said "just because I will need to hurry you along as I have customers waiting to collect stuff". I was actually wanting to buy my mum a ring for Christmas, but honestly after the abrupt way I was approached it really put me off wanting to buy anything at all. I drove from Durham to go to this very shop to be hurried out within not even a min
