UPDATE: School Lettings Solutions have now become 'Buddle'. SLS were a 'community' organisation allegedly fleecing nonprofits like schools, children's football teams/dance clubs etc by demanding 'retainer fees' just to be allowed to keep their slots post coronavirus. This sparked uproar amongst the communities/bookers and several social media campaigns were launched against them. SLS then ended up folding, keeping many of the 'retainer fees' AND more importantly a lot of the unfulfilled booking fees owed to schools etc. The money owed by SLS and never paid to these community entities was reported by The Times to be in the region of £4 million! 'Schools are expected to recover some of the money they are owed by SLS - but this is likely to be less than 10% of the total and could be as little as 3%'. The Times also reported on the directors of SLS taking hundreds of thousands of pounds in loans from the company itself - funding themselves houses, holiday homes and leasing several luxury cars. They allegedly lined their directors pockets whilst making staff redundant and various schools penniless during covid-19. This company should be ashamed of themselves. Stay away from their new venture 'Buddle'..

So, after three months of virtually no information from SLS during the covid-19 crisis, staff get an email telling them to return their keys. No "sorry, the company is no longer operating. We are letting staff go" No information at all. Staff left in limbo, no clarity as to whether they are now unemployed, no idea how they will pay their bills or feed their families. No clarity as to what their situation is. It appears this company had folded owing substantial sums to former clients too. Diabolical behaviour especially when so many are struggling. No excuse for it. Just be honest and tell people the situation so they know where they stand.

Terrible company. They put the prices up by over 80% after taking over the school i let in. They are greedy company and will put over 10 out of job and 100 students with no Saturday activity. We cannot pay the fees and cannot pass the fees to parents so will be shutting down

Anyone there? The very same huge community (schools & grassroots sports) you purport to have been in business for, / boast about, owe so much money to are desperately seeking communication. Lots have tried & failed to recoup money owed. It appears that you have exploited them & are hiding? If you have decency, make it clear / speak to them, as all these organisations need to plan for the future.

Company are holding back nearly £1000 owed to Huncoat United JFC. They are ignoring calls and emails and also blocking comms on social media. There are hundreds of clubs in the same boat. We have been chasing this for 8 weeks, despite the contract saying all refunds would be returned within 5 days. They asked clubs for a non refundable retainer ranging from £50 - £300 which they claimed was to help schools during COVID. The schools were not aware or in need of this money. Days later they furloughed all staff. Do not trust this company.

I worked at SLS for 4 years. Superb company who help make school facilities available to communities while managing the administration and giving back time and income to the school. I’m sure that SLS will bounce back from the pandemic - good luck to the SLS team.
