Of course this company has a bad reputation. It's Halal, which has far lower health and safety standards than other processes. The reason some supermarkets and other outlets allow Halal without making it obvious is because it's cheaper. Cheaper because the health and safety standards are lower. I've just noticed that Tesco in Hackney, London are using this company. I want to be able to have the choice regarding styles of slaughter when choosing meat.

Terrible quality meat products with exaggerated user by dates. The meat always goes off 3 days before their use by date which is ridiculous. Poor quality, unreliable use by dates makes Shazan products a terrible buy

I am a Shazans’s customer since long time. Bought Shazans uncooked chicken from Asda that was rotten and smelly. Asda refused to take it back same day because it was within use by date. I wrote to Shazans customer services and CEO but no reply. Very disappointed. I will never use any product again. It’s better to stay away from Shazans products.
