They expect you to undergo go a couple of hours of unpaid training only to not give you any work days. They don’t communicate well over email, and then get angry if you cancel going to an interview even when they failed to tell you all the details about the role. Do not ever work with Sophie for your consultant. She is rude and blames her clients for her lack of communication.

My experience with Smart Teachers and my consultant Dan Uwaifo has been amazing. Unlike many other agencies I had signed up with, Smart Teachers was the only agency which quickly found me day-to-day work at schools and i was able to work at an excellent school for a month! From the beginning, Dan has supported me, found suitable schools local to me and answered any questions i had. All my school experience gained through my work with Smart Teachers has prepared me for my new permanent role at a secondary school. Thanks to this company i was able to go from a graduate with little experience in schools to a full time Cover Supervisor and Academic Mentor in a matter of a few weeks!!!! Dan, my consultant has been amazing to work with. Communication has always been honest and friendly. He would always return my calls whether it be first thing in the morning or late evening via email, text or WhatsApp I was always kept informed and listened to . Dan took time to understand my preferences and skillset and so matched me with schools that I was happy to go to both for long term in SEN school and short term assignments in mainstream. There was always a call at the end of the day to find out how I was doing and to give feedback. Timesheets are completed by the agency, so there is no chasing for signatures on a Friday afternoon.
