We do not typically rescue animals, but rather provide free veterinary care and support to working animals in their own communities. We believe that animals are best cared for by their owners, and we work to empower and educate animal owners to provide the best care possible for their animals. SPANA, a charity, do the most marvellous work helping working animals (donkeys, horses) over-burdened and suffering in poor parts of the world by providing drinking water, food, comfy harnessing, sight saving, vets on the road , comfy head collars, comfy bits, rapid response, happy feet, medicine cabinet and more The owners are too ignorant and poor to provide this sort of care for their animals. If you care about these poor animals, DO support this wonderful organisation.

A wonderful and much needed charity that makes a huge difference to both working animals and their owners abroad. They also nurse, re-home and provide sanctuary for other animals brought to them. We took a dying kitten we found in Marrakesh to them and, after being shown around their facility, were awestruck by their work. They even emailed a month later to tell us the kitten had survived and been homed. If you care about animal welfare, this is a most worthy charity.
