I called halfords layerthorpe this morning at 8am, hoping they could fit me in on a Saturday at short notice as my check engine light came on yesterday afternoon. Eric dealt with me on the phone and at the shop and was lovely, and the receipt says Peter worked on the car and was great too, both seemed really knowledgable and like they knew what they were doing. They managed to fit me in and get the car fixed before lunch which was amazing, especially given its a mk1 seat leon so I assumed it could be a pain given its age. It needed new glow plugs, and they found it needed a new ball joint after I mentioned it was creaking so those were replaced, they also conducted a free brake check and put in a new reverse light for me as mine had gone :) they do offer payment plans, I was lucky enough to be able to pay in full but that's definitely a plus for emergency or expensive work that's unexpected. 100% recommend and I'll be using them going foward. Thanks guys! Services: Brakes, Engine repair, Steering & suspension repair

I want to say a huge thank you to the lovely lady who works on reception and also the rest of the team. My engine light came on a few hours before I needed to drive a long distance for something very important. They told me to bring it in immediately and checked it out, all sorted and drama over within half an hour. Couldn't believe how accommodating and kind they were. Very lucky to have this as my local garage, would highly recommend them. Service: Electrical
