I had stapedoctomy surgery in this hospital on 29/sep/2021 and it was the worst choice i made in my life as i was chucked out from hospital at about midnight with severe symptoms by night nurse ( nurse called : R. NZIKO ) and was told i got no reason to stay . When i got home , my vomiting and severe dizziness never stopped and all of my family was so worried and shocked about how i was discharged with such a horrible situation. The next day i wasn't even get up on my feet and i told my wife to call A&E as i was about to pass out . She called spire east London ward and they told her to bring me in but i was not in a situation to even walk couple meters with a support. Anyway in the end she had to go on her own to get some medicine . Fast forward , its been nearly 6 month now since the first surgery there as the dr had to do second surgery as he couldn’t put the correct size of prosthesis after first operation and it caused very serious complications and no words can explain the things me and my family gone through . Now , i am deaf in my left ear due to failed surgery . I wish i did more research before decided to have surgery here. (Operation done by Dr.Anthony Owa )

Recently, I booked a blood test through private healthcare and was pleased to receive an appointment within 24 hours. I had to opt for this route as no blood test appointments were available within two weeks due to the new booking system, which made it difficult to receive real-time care. On April 28th, I went for the blood test. However, it's been over a month, and my local GP has not received the results. Meanwhile, I received multiple requests for payment from Spire, which I promptly processed. When I contacted them regarding the missing results, they informed me that they had received them on the same day as my appointment but did not share them as they did not have my GP's email address. This was surprising, as they had not requested this detail from me earlier. I provided the email address to the Spire team, who assured me that they would obtain the results and send them to my GP. However, to date, my GP has not received anything, and I have not received any response to my email from last week. I have spent considerable time trying to contact Spire, but to no avail and have been left with a hefty bill. Based on my experience and the lack of resolution, I suggest exploring alternative healthcare clinics rather than Spire.

Don’t go if you’re self-funded! The ENT doctor was nice but only saw me for ten minutes, quickly checked my nose and ears and prescribed me antibiotics and steroids. To be fair it was no different from a normal gp appointment, he didn’t do any deeper exam, no ear test, no laryngoscopy, because guess what? Those are all extra! My question is, why in the world would I spend half a week of salary to see a specialist, if I could have just gone to my gp and gotten the same type of examination and prescription? In my country, if you go to a ENT specialist you get all the exams included in the visit, same if you go to any other specialist, e.g. gynaecologist, gastroenterologist, because then what’s the point of seeing a specialist!!! I feel completely stupid to have fallen in this money trap. Never using private healthcare in the UK again.

Highly professional, very friendly and caring staff. Highly qualified consultants. That was my first visit to the Spire London East Hospital but not the first to private hospital. I was very pleased with staff to be so caring, listening and providing the best possible service. All procedures were carried out very professionally with all precaution measures in place. The gastro-endoscopy i was there for was done in a such way i didn't even realise it was over! who had it done before would understand what I'm talking about. Also the lunch was very good :). Only positive emotions. I would highly recommend!! Update on my previous review: unfortunately, telephone or e-mail communication with this hospital is below of any expectation. Telephone calls were either not answered or information provided was incorrect. They didn't even return calls when I left a voice message.. that was a great disappointment.

May 4th I had a knee Arthroscopy at Spire London East and was impressed and delighted with my treatment.Everyone were supportive so friendly and thoroughly professional explaining what was occurring. The food post operation was tasty and filling ,there was plenty on the menu to choose from.Physiotherapist and pharmacist attention pertaining to in hospital and home recovery was spot on as was nursing. I had treatment at the hospital in the past as a private patient and was similarly pleased. This time much older so priced out of private insurance also curtailed so not worth having by medical history I got to see a great consultant at an excellent hospital via the NHS.Not sure what message this suggests but it might be in the future hopefully not too long all of us having an NHS provided by the government reflecting my experience.
