Most Amazing Getaway!!!!! This has been our 2nd visit this year! What an amazing and beautiful place this is. The surroundings are rural peaceful like you cannot believe. Aidan is fantastic, friendly and very welcoming. He and his family have worked so hard to achieve, what I would call a Dream place to stay. They have built all this themselves and have put so much thought and dedication into everything you see. You have the Spitfire Barn that sleeps up to 6,people, this is where we stayed. They also now have another two additions, which are the Shepherds Huts that cater for two people. They are just beautiful and you have to see them for yourself to understand all the hard work and detail that has gone into building them. We are a group of women consisting of family and friends that require some ‘ME’ time lol, if you get my drift. We have had the best times here and relaxing too, also popping into the beautiful hot tub just tops it off. We have fallen in love with SPITFIRE BARN and we will continue to visit on a regular basis, for as long as we are able to. We now class this as our very own special place it’s just AMAZEBOMBS.xx 😍😍

What a great choice for a staycation. With a warm arrival from Aiden and lovely welcome gifts in the Barn, we knew this was going to be a lovely short break. Two adults, two children and a dog all very comfortably accommodated in the Barn, with everything you can need for a wonderful stay. The Barn itself has two lovely well made up bedrooms with linen and towels, a lovely open plan kitchen/diner and spacious upstairs loft space with comfy seating. The loft also has a beautiful opening velux window that opens out into a mini balcony style space, a really pleasant surprise. Everything you need is in the well appointed kitchen and it is only 3 miles to Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Asda in Dover. Outside there is a fab long field space for the dog that had a trampoline available for the kids (great touch) And the hot tub! The tub is really well looked after and set in a lovely space tucked behind some out buildings across from the barn. Travel wise, it's about 3 miles to Dover one way and 4/5 to Folkestone the other. The Barn is in a really peaceful and tranquil space at the end of West Hougham as you head towards Dover. We went to both major towns both for a White Cliffs walk and a promenade and beach walk. Well recommended. What made the stay for us was the immaculate cottage and it's lovely owners. So welcoming and friendly, Aiden welcomed us like friends. Cannot stress enough how "at home" we felt.
