We had the worst experience ever. We paid a lot of cash on an economy room. Sure it was an ex cleaning room. Stairs 2 bathroom were squeaking really loudly. Shower from the 1940s window from 1900s. Stayed 2 nights thought it was marriot hotel but is not. No house cleaning at all, still under co-vid rules we were told. Receptionist tried telling us this is normal and very argumentative. Manager of night did help. Bar staff had attitude. Best thing was breakfast and the grounds were beautiful. This is owned by brittania hotels and u can tell all about profit. Staff r young and don't understand customer service. Oh yeah sideboard and top of headboard full of dust. Lucky 2 make 2 star

We’d stayed in the hotel Friday night and had a spa day booked for the Saturday as a gift and a mum break for me and my best friend! First of we waited in a queue at reception for a good 15 minutes before someone appeared to check us all in and this was around 4.45pm, there was a young lad who was very helpful but the blonde lady in white shirt came across as if she couldn’t care less. The hotel room was very clean but the room decor was very outdated and it generally made you lose the luxury feel of the place. We had breakfast in the restaurant which was your standard help yourself cooked and continental breakfast it was ok not bad not amazing. The biggest let down which actually ruined the whole thing for us was the spa day … (£75pp) again me and my friend came away as a mums treat for ourselves only to have a child’s swim class in the whole spa pool area from 10am to 12pm which was not stated when we booked! We literally couldn’t relax or use the facilities due to the amount of children screaming , there parents using up all chairs and loungers around the pool to watch said kids. It really ruined it for us! Not to mention when we went for our massage at 11.30 said kids where heading back to the changing rooms screaming and running down the hall way! As soon as the massage was done we abandoned our spa day and left immediately! Kids swim lessons and a adult spa break do not go hand in hand! Huge disappointment!

Rooms: Some of the light switches didn't work Walkability: My wife has parkinsons room was perfect for her condition. There is a safe in the room with a little not telling you how to use it. Only issue we had you couldn't get in it to start the written sequence

The golf course it’s self was exceptional. The best kept course I have ever played and very challenging. The driving range was very good except for the fact there were barely any tees there for the mats, and out of 30 balls about 10 were cracked or looked like they had been chewed by a dog. The hotel was very nice but on the second night of our stay the dinner service was compromised because they were over booked and under staffed. Items were not available in the already limited menu. Our bill was amended because the service was terrible. Shame because the golf was amazing.

We recently had a room booked for one night to celebrate my wife's birthday. Had high expectations on arrival as the place looks fantastic however that's as far as fantastic went. We got to our room and it was tiny filthy and quite possibly the worst room I've ever seen in a hotel. I paid extra for a bigger bed and they threw a double mattress on two boxes. We stayed 2hrs and left for home, we couldn't possibly sleep in the bed as matters overhang boxes by 5inchs either side. Complained to desk and he just said sorry and we are fully booked. I've sent many messages to the hotel with not one reply or apology. This has to quite possibly be the worst hotel I've ever stayed from rooms to management. Premier Inn is a palace compared to this place for half the money. Avoid avoid avoid.
