This place needs to be open! Rumour has it that before the pandemic this place was to be knocked over and luxury flats are to be built. Me thinks they’re waiting for the investment before they announce permanent closure.

Excellent and well-needed community resource, hugely missed since its temporary closure. Particularly enjoyed the friendly and supportive adult swimming lessons here.

We really miss this pool it’s great. Seriously needs to reopen soon what are members paying for? The other local pools are not a great alternative at the moment- Mile End is small and overcrowded. York Hall is out of use for several months due to structural work. London fields lido still has only outdoor changing- no indoor changing or hairdryers so not suitable before work or for those who need a hairdryer and even if you can manage without that it’s difficult to book a slot peak time.. London aquatics centre has cleared the bulk of the daytime schedule in the 50m competition pool to run aqua splash and is now not open till late at weekends as it was pre-pandemic. Appreciate times are difficult but the community needs this place sorely and it should be a priority to get this place up and running again.

Both pools are quite large and good sizes, the changing rooms are clean too. Instructors are rude however, very unsupportive and quite patronising to beginners! Better off going elsewhere.

Please please reopen this pool, the staff was so nice, the pool large, it could have done with a refurbishment but the nearest pool for kids now is at Poplar and it’s so bad with rude and lame swimming teachers. it really made me appreciate St George’s pool and what we had.
