There's a lack of German, Austrian, and alpine food in London. I took the trip here because I had a good feeling I wouldn't be disappointed. The food was delicious. I tried a beer with banana juice for the first time and enjoyed it as a nice light drink before my main. The Bretzel was very fresh - hot, aromatic, tasty and the best texture. The Obatzda was perfect. The portion was massive so I assumed it was normally shared with two or more people, so I asked for another bretzel and the new waitress was happy to fetch me one. It would have been a shame to waste so much sauce. I've had chicken schnitzel in Germany but not Veal. It was perfect. I prefer dark beers, and so I had the private brewery dunkel, which was kind of a dark amber ale, similar in taste to Doom bar but more complex. Dessert was divine. Sachertorte. Been keen to try this Austrian dessert for a while. It was recommended by a German colleague
