Took my bike in for information on changing my forks to tapered forks as I thought mine was not working but he soon found the problem was my disc brake. He as given it a going over and gave me advice he didn't even want any money even though it sorted the disc . Am very happy with his service.

Got a puncture this morning on my way to work outside another local bike shop who weren't very helpful and told me they couldn't help me due to me having an electric bike which wasn't purchased from them. I bought some Slime for the rear tyre today, but the valve core removal tools on these are pants, so I headed to Steve's Cycles to purchase one so I could get home from work. When I arrived, the gent was very helpful, and despite not having any core removal tools, he lent me one so I could fix my bike and get home from work. Thank you so much. You've made a stressful day a hell of a lot less stressful😊

Your bike is in safe hands here. Attention to detail, really listens to what you want (had a hub gear conversion done and he got it spot on) always happy to help and advise with a whole wealth of knowledge and experience. Will do a proper job... Actually invested in work done not just jobs for money and doesn't charge a packet. Some bike shops try to baffle you with technical terms and keep their secrets hidden and charge you loads with massive markups, but Steve will happily tell it as it is and not rob you. Last proper bike shop in Hull. Take. Your. Bike. Here. Now.

An honest, fair bike shop. Plenty of stock, been there a lot of years. Pop in, you'll be surprised by the amount of stock and accessories they carry. And prices are good. Knowledge is top notch. Thanks. Can add popped in for a bottom bracket recently. Not only did Steve have it in stock, even though I couldn't find the correct part even on amazon or ebay.... He took the time to check the part with digital calipers. And was the same price as amazon, if they actually had it in stock. Thanks Steve.
