I have been treated successfully by John Dunscombe a number of times over the years for different back problems. I visited recently after having excruciating pain for around 4/5 weeks and was disappointed that I was still in pain the following day - although my neck and shoulders were much looser and relaxed. Then, about a week later, I woke up without pain and have been pain free since. He never fails to amaze me.

Dr Shen has helped me enormously both with arthritis and anxiety. She is a quiet, professional lady with a huge amount of experience and she has an instinct when treating you that she knows what you need. The kindness shown to me by Dr Shen and her Practice Receptionist has made a huge difference during a difficult year and I am extremely grateful to them both. This is a very busy practice so I would advise anyone reading the very negative review below to trust the fact that many GPs/doctors go to Dr Shen for treatment rather than the strange review below.

Very poor service overall. Booked an acupuncture appointment for my mum who has been suffering from arthritis. Woman on the phone was quite blunt and abrupt. At the appointment I explained/ translated the the concerns my mum had to the practitioner who again did not ask many follow-up questions and showed no empathy whatsoever. My mum felt treatment room was cold. Our biggest complaint regarding the overall service is that after I left, the practitioner did not take the time to ask her anything further at all, let alone make polite small talk to build rapport with her patient nor explain any procedures she was performing or how long her treatment will take or how many appointments will be needed etc. Totally robotic practitioner. She left the room for long periods throughout the appointment leaving my mum alone with no communication. Absolutely abysmal impersonal and impolite service and will never go back. Avoid.

The room where I had my treatment was cold. The practitioner did not take the time to ask me anything or explain to me what was going to happen. I was then left alone for 10 minutes. It felt very impersonal and rushed. I will say that the treatment appears to be successful.
