You have two options buying carpets, to go for the cheap option with the national chains, or to use a local specialist like Banbury’s Carpet and Flooring Company. Our cottage is almost 300 years old, with winding staircases and no right angles anywhere. We were very pleased with the selection of floorings available and first ordered Korlok flooring for our bathroom – like laminate boards, but polycarbonate and waterproof. Toby normally doesn’t stock this, but as a Karndean stockist was able to get it in for us. When we planned to carpet the entire house, we again used the company, who sold the perfect one at a price we were happy with. Undoubtedly we could have found a cheaper alternative somewhere, but as we only planned on doing this once, quality was our prime requirement. The difficult job of fitting was undertaken perfectly by Claudio. It took 2½ days and as they were able to work around some very heavy furniture, saved us a lot of hassle. He was full of useful advice and helped us prepare each area for fitting. The finished result is excellent - it has transformed our house. There are a number of reasons we would recommend using the Carpet and Flooring Company. First the customer service is excellent. Andrew who runs the shop is very helpful and remembers customers, so you always feel he is being attentive to your individual needs. Toby, who measured up, came out twice to ensure he fully understood our complex requirements. The fitter Claudio is a proper time-served craftsman, able to cope with very difficult properties like ours.

The Carpet and Flooring Company have just carpeted the whole of our upstairs, and we couldn’t be more pleased ! When I first visited the shop in Banbury, I knew exactly what I wanted, and Andrew was really helpful. Toby came and measured up and was very friendly and helpful, and Claudio fitted the carpets. His work is impressive.......and such a nice man aswell ! Both he and Jack, who was helping him, were polite and friendly and I would recommend them to anyone thinking of replacing their flooring. Communication was good too, which is so important. There are other large carpet companies out there but I feel good supporting an independent business, and without doubt, TCAFC made me feel like a valued customer. Thank you Andrew, Toby, Claudio and Jack !

TCAFC were helpful with advice from start to finish as well as having a wide range of options. We love our Amtico kitchen floor and carpet throughout the rest of the house. Andrew and Toby were incredibly flexible as our project got delayed and we had to reschedule, and Claudio was brilliant at fitting the carpet. Highly recommend to others looking for new flooring.

Went in based on a recommendation however the person who served us was quite rude and basically came across that he didnt need our business. We went elsewhere which had a much better service and helped us to make a better choice. When we discussed the other options we wanted he didnt know about this option, said he will have to speak to a fitter and it will cost us more. Wont be going back.
