    Had an appointment with Ellie for a balayage and it was absolutely amazing, Ellie is an exceptional colourist and listens to everything you ask for, Nicola the salon manager was so friendly often checking in to see if everything was going ok, the salon is absolutely beautiful and the team are super friendly, I spent a while thinking about getting a balayage and my only regret is not doing it sooner, thoroughly recommend this salon, I would have given more stars if I could!     I highly recommend this salon, I visited for the first time yesterday. I booked with Ellie for a balayage. I had a balayage a month ago at another salon but didn't get the results I had hoped for so was a bit apprehensive the 2nd time around. Ellie took great care of me, she carried out a thorough consultation, I didn't feel rushed to decide what I was trying to achieve. She is very talented and took such pride in her work. She was genuinely interested in what she was doing and gave me a lovely result by blending the colour into the hair as I'm not a fan of the striped look. If you are looking for a fresh look going into summer book with Ellie! The salon itself was nice, very clean and calming atmosphere, and the music was good too, makes a difference when you are having a long service such as balayage. I look forward to my next visit!     Every time I have my colour done here which is every 8 weeks strangers always comment and ask who does your hair your colour is lovely, which is the biggest ego boost you can get thanks to Sophie at the Essential lounge. If a customer isnt happy which I find very strange if they are not, but understand it can happen anywhere, the staff will do everything in their power to make sure you leave happy. If you dont tell them and go home moaning and leave a nasty review then that's your fault for not explaining you are not happy. I dont agree with leaving nasty comments if it's not necessary...This salon is in my opinion is very reasonable with their prices and during all the closures salons have had over the past 2 years they could have charged a lot more as some do.     I found the staff to be very nice. The salon is bright and clean. Sadly, this is where my visit ended. I won't go into detail about my disappointment, but paid A LOT of money to then have to go elsewhere to put it right. I was also asked to pay £5.00 to have my hair rough dried after a root tint! That was the end for me. Was I meant to walk out into freezing conditions with dripping wet hair? NEVER heard of paying for a quick blast of hot air before. I did not appreciate your aggressive call after just posting an HONEST review. I have just received your reply. I'm so shocked and I was not rude to anyone or lied to anyone. What you have said is utter rubbish and nothing more than I expected. I admire your loyalty to your staff, but not at the cost of other people. I NEVER LIE AND AM NEVER RUDE. YOU reduced me to tears.     This was my first visit to Essential Lounge and I wasn't disappointed. The welcome was so warm, and Sophie (my colourist) was so friendly and professional. Over a lovely coffee we chatted about my hair and what I wanted, and she gave me her advice which I was really grateful for. She introduced me to Ellie who would be cutting my hair later on. The process was really efficient and I was looked after so well - it's a very personal service which makes a big difference. I was so happy with my colour - and Sophie gave me lots of advice on how to look after it, and recommended shampoos and treatments to try for the future. Ellie then spent time with me on discussing my cut, which I was again really pleased with. The girls are delightful, it's a professional, clean and brilliantly run salon - I will definately be back, and I would thoroughly recommend.
