The unhelpful staff need some staff training. Used the Whitby one and it was great. In my top 3 of worst fish and chips ever. No large chips available, a medium chips is really small, not big enough to share. C'mon, £3.25 for one potato worth. Turns out they were cold and barely cooked so they saved on the heating too. Fish was warm & just cooked but hadn't been in long enough so the batter was closer to runny than crispy, not edible anyway. Not a matter of personal taste, just awful.

Had the Salt & Pepper Chicken. It was perfectly fine strips of chicken, and perhaps it was on me for expecting a perfect copy of the Chinese Chippy staple from such a traditional looking chippy, but someone needs to tell them that real Salt & Pepper seasoning isn't just a sprinkle of salt and pepper in the batter.

World class fish and chips. Fresh and cooked perfectly. Don’t change a thing. Update: based on experience today (29 April) I’ve lowered to one star. Think the normal cook wasn’t doing the frying and it badly impacted the quality. Hoping next time it’s backs to it’s usual best .
