*Addendum to original review: Great recovery from Becky the Manager who has followed up on my review and taken on board my feedback. We will be returning to the Furnace later in the year. ***************************************** Disappointing experience today and no-one to even share it with! Asked to eat outside as it was a gorgeous sunny afternoon and it became pretty much self service.. Food took ages to come and when we asked about it we were told that there was a big party in the restaurant.. Had to ask for more flat bread with hummus as portion was not enough. Chicken roast was nice although veggies, gravy and Yorkshire Pudding were ambient temperature at best. No cutlery or napkins served with meal - had to ask. No one came to check back during food or when we had finished, so no opportunity to speak to anyone. Tasty food. Terrible service. Luckily for the business payment was on point of order - we felt very flat with this experience and won’t be returning.
