We went as a family to The Hideaway for a two night stay and definitely would agree with them having the Best Campsite award! The site is beautiful with great facilities and the shower block and wash up were immaculately clean. It felt very busy when we visited but there was plenty of space between us and the neighbouring tents, it wasn’t rowdy and things quietened down by about 9pm. The owner was very helpful in directing us to walks for little legs and a well equipped local play area. There is a well stocked (and reasonably priced!) shop and excellent pizzas from the little pizza shack. Our kids absolutely loved it and fell head over heels for the owner’s gorgeous puppy, Juno! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We definitely would go back.

This weekend we stayed in one of the new 5 Bed Kabinas with our two little boys. We had such a lovely, relaxing weekend. The attention to detail at Baxby Manor The Hideaway is exceptional and we will be recommending to family & friends. The Pizza Shack is an added bonus and the food is unbelievable - both the breakfasts and the wood fired pizzas! Outstanding ⭐️

Camping at Baxby Manor one of the best experiences we've had. Superb facilities, friendly campers, beautiful location and "Matt the Shack" who helped feed us all weekend and even jump started our car when we had to leave. Hero. Rooms : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 … More

We booked camping for a tent with electric for over the Easter weekend. We arrived good friday and on the first evening was hit with electric issues. The site could not cope with the demand and therefore we were switched off from having electric all weekend as we were told if they didn't then the whole site would go off including the toilet and shower block and their brand new kabinas they had built. It felt like we were being "sacrificed" for the people who had paid a higher price to stay in those. However, We were offered a full refund if we wanted to leave or refund of the electric if we chose to stay. We did choose to stay and we managed without electric but was not what we had originally geared up for. Apart from the electricity issue the site was lovely, safe and clean and we would go back if they sorted out the electrics.
