Street fundraising at a too close distance during a global pandemic.

It is doubtful this is a legitimate charity. I just came across a fundraiser standing outside of a Sainsburys Local in Bermondsey, I gave money twice and even went home to collect the spare change I had to donate money. Upon returning and after giving a second donation the fundraiser very aggressively told me that they do not accept coppers as it "made their arms too heavy". They then continued to give me a great deal of attitude when I told them they hadn't stated this before I gave my donation money. She also insisted on a preference for notes only, stating that if I was to give a donation it should be £5 or £10. It seems strange for a charity to refuse money (I work for a legitimate charity and have worked for other charities for many years). I have never, in all my years of work, heard of a charity refusing money. I am going to query this stance with the charity directly and raise this interaction with the Charity Commissioner as it is really odd. Update: I have flagged the interaction with the Fundraising Regulator service who are conducting an investigation. Apparently, it is odd for a charity to be raising in this manner during a pandemic.
