What a gem! A rare occasion when all the 5-star reviews are well deserved. A unique location, never heard of Hythe (Hamps) before I booked. Walk for 30 mins in one direction and you will be in the New Forest, surrounded by wild ponies. The ferry next to the accommodation will take you to the hustle and bustle of Southampton Quay for shopping/lunch. The house itself is clean and comfortable - with everything you need for a relaxing break. Wonderful hosts, whose local knowledge and sage advice was invaluable. A well-cooked breakfast made with high quality produce. Highly reccommended.

Martin and Elizabeth met us at the door and welcomed us in. They showed us the breakfast room/patio area and then our rooms. We were extremely tired after a trans-atlantic flight and then 2 hours by van to the ferry. We enjoyed the breakfast both mornings. They were very accommodating of our travel schedule and late departure for our ship. The location near two grocery stores and the shops on High street was great.

Elizabeth an Martin have worked very hard to make this a home from home from experience, lots of great little creature comforts like heated towels and a cute courtyard at the rear, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast to die for, and as Hythe is well served with places to eat takeaways (a one minute walk!) they happy for guests to use the breakfast room and even provide plates and cutlery! Highly recommended!

Place lovely very clean tidy and comfy, the host was quite condescending at times and whilst my mum was chatting to another guest she cut straight in between and started talking which I found quite rude. We arrived late and she failed not to let us know we were late by apologising whilst talking to us for stuttering and then saying sorry sorry it’s late then looked at her watch and said in fact quite late at just gone 9pm.
