Absolute Top Fella! Didn't realise I could put on here how great this guy is! I took my inherited Elliot Westminster chiming clock to Nick for a service...came back PERFECT! The chimes are clear as day....posting here at this time as unsure how to set it with chimes back to GMT !! Doubtless I'll be in touch with Nick...and he'll tell me how to do! Don't go anywhere else!

We were extremely happy with Nick's Service. As our longcase clock had been overhauled in the past, he did not quote a blanket price for a full overhaul - rather a price range based on what was believed to be the fault. In the event the final price was at the top of the range - albeit still very reasonable - as some additional small faults were diagnosed during the repair. As we're fairly near, Nick was able to come by, carry out some initial checks and give his price range estimate before taking the movement back to his workshop. Upon completion of the repair he returned with the movement and set the clock back up properly so that it was running correctly again. As with all good, conscientous craftsmen, he had plenty of work in hand and was therefore neither able to come round straightaway nor to undertake the repair as soon as it was in his workshop. That said, in our case at least, he slightly beat his own timescale estimates. All-in-all we can strongly recommend this intelligent, honest and complete service.
