An ice cream parlour on the 1st floor of Fortnum & Mason! Loved their Tea Time & Hazelnut ice cream - highly recommended! A relaxing place to rest your feet & enjoy a snack / dessert after shopping.

What utterly delightful staff! I came here with my sister, who had travelled from Brighton, for a pre- coronation celebration. We received such a warm welcome when we arrived, we did have to queue for a while but it was well worth it. I was dressed in a "coronation outfit" and we were treated like royalty! It was after four when we arrived and I am sure our waitresses had been working hard all day but they were so lovely and attentive. So a big shout out to Gessica and Ayaka, they could not have been more delightful; so smiley, friendly and kind. They made our day so special. Everything was delicious and the scones, jam and cream were very reasonably priced. I even got a mini ice cream cone in the handle of my cappuccino cup! Just such a joyful experience. Thank you! THANK YOU!

What was meant to be a quick bite to eat ended up taking 2 hours due to extremely slow service although other tables who arrived after us got served before us. Food was nice but not worth the price.

I was gifted a tin of fortnum & mason tea many years ago and was on a mission to finally visit the place when we visited London. Tea was great, scones were small and meh, and the service was awful. When we were in line, i asked the hostess a question about the menu and she answered me like I didn’t understand English. It was very patronizing. Once we sat down a server came around for our orders which we asked for a few more minutes. The next wait was 15 minutes. When we asked for the bill, the server brought it in an envelope and presented the point of sale terminal in front of me. I went ahead and tapped THEN looked at the bill, seeing a 12.5% service charge. I asked what this was for as the restaurants from previous days didn’t have this, and he said ā€œIt’s part of the billā€ and walked away. I would not have tipped to begin with considering the experience. Saying it’s part of the bill is like forcing the customers hand. Just up your prices if it’s ā€œpart of the billā€. Buyer beware!!
