    MAY 2023 UPDATE Once again a splendid meal here. Service by Maani was great. Curry sauce tasting excellent and different from last time. Need to go back to having the fusion fish than cod in my opinion it is much better tasting and less oily. PREVIOUS VISIT Still one of the best fish and chips in town and well worth the visit. Fantastic decor and cosy ambience. Generous portions and always left feeling full, had the house made onion rings coated in their lovely batter for the first time it had a nice crunch to it and a lovely addition. The Wigmore Classic basket meal is my go to now.

    A very nice atmosphere with lovely food at a great price and if you are not a fish eater, they also offer other options such as the lamb cutlets which I managed to sneak a taste of; they were delicious. After sharing the halloumi starter and a main portion of haddock and chips, I definitely thought my stomach could hold no more, but a casual gaze towards another table changed my mind. I spied an amazing ice cream sundae which I just had to try. There are in fact three different sundaes on offer along with other very indulgent desserts which I will have to sample with future visits. The staff were friendly and even though one of our three person party had a grape based alcoholic drink, the total bill was only around £20 per head. Disabled access is easy but parking may be an issue at times because the car park is shared with other shops, restaurants and a pub. We had to park in a disabled space that was approximately 100m away from the entrance and there wasn’t an abundance of general parking spaces either. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu, especially the other sundaes.
