  AVOID SURPRISES ON ESTIMATES... A TRAP!!! left my ring to be copied as they asked 1500pounds...became 2500pounds in 10days. They needed 10days to copy my family stem and get my ring back causing my change of flight back to italy.....surprise surprise the price raised to 2500pounds....with no reason as the "gentleman" didnt even know the weight of my ring nor the one he was going to deliver. they probably were planning to raise price again after I gave a deposit. In Italy we say "the wolf loses his fair but not his habits"

  I would recommend anyone looking to get a ring of any occasion to visit Val D'or. We visited a couple of shops in the area while searching for our wedding bands. David and Pat are the only people who didn't try to sell us their rings- they were genuniely curious to know more about us and what kind of rings would work for us. We got a very unique and absolutely gorgeous ring for both of us. The ring is also extremely comfortable, thanks to David's unique design to make it glide easy. When you try the ring on, you will feel the difference from other Hatton garden shops' average rings. I see some bad and malicious reviews on Google Map. If you are looking to get a new ring or to have a consultation, trust me (and not those bad reviews) and go visit Val D'or.

  It was the MOST awful and disgusting customer service experience I've ever had. I can’t believe their customer service!!!!!! The wedding rings we ordered were DIFFERENT design to the designs which we chose, and in addition to that they were dirty and finished to a low standard. So we asked him to actually provide us with the same design as the sample which we chose from, but he completely refused to do so. Instead suggesting we take this incorrect design (telling us it doesn't matter and we'll get used to it!!). He refused to fix the problem and said if we don’t like it he would just refund deposit money. We liked the original design and he promised that he would make exact same design but he couldn’t. He's a liar. It was HIS MISTAKE but he never apologized. He wasn't thoughtful and understanding to how much we were shocked and sad that we couldn’t get rings but just refused us and got rid of us. His attitude is totally lack of customer service and craftsmanship. Totally untrustworthy establishment. I'm SO disappointed and sad about his response to my husband review.... it's completely wrong. I was NOT happy at all with the ring because it's not correct design and finished to low standard and inappropriate customer service ..... so sad.... このお店はお勧めしません。オーダーしていた結婚指輪が、異なるデザインで出来上がっていたのでそれを指摘し、直してもらうようにお願いしたら、デザインは直せないと断られました。このデザインで作ると約束したにも関わらず、私たちが気づくまで自分たちのミスは隠し、私たちが気づき指摘したら、「返金するか、このデザインのままかどちらがいいか」と言ってきました。彼のミスなのに最後まで謝罪の言葉は一つもありませんでした。信じられないカスタマーサービスです。ただの誕生日プレゼントなどではなく、結婚指輪です。一生物のジュエリーなのに、とても軽く扱われ、お客をお客と思っていない対応に驚きと失望です。このお店は信用してはいけません。

  Avoid this 'jeweller' at all costs. Even by English customer service standards, this was the lowest level my wife and I have experienced. We ordered some seemingly lovely gold and platinum wedding bands, which were designed by David, the co-owner (however after our experience I wouldn't trust any of the anecdotes the old guy spews out). He recommended that we only choose rings which have actual samples already produced, thus taking any guesswork and potential disappointment out of the final result. This made a lot of sense so we paid the deposit and only made the slightest of modifications (an additional two diamonds on hers and a rose gold accent on both). The original timeframe came and went, however I shall not dwell on that. It finally came to the fitting day. They didn't fit, and were so badly off we asked if they had been made for another couple. Also the finish was very poor and the rings themselves were dirty. After quite some explaining on our part, we were assured that it would be remedied at the final stage. Collection day. We realised between the fitting and collection day that the design wasn't the one we had originally ordered. Not a fundamental difference, but where on the original the two bands of metal seamlessly and smoothly bonded together, here on the final result there was a deep groove separating the bands of metal. This completely changed the aesthetic and we obviously weren't going to accept something we didn't order, especially when we chose from an actual finished physical sample. When I raised this fault and asked for the design to be fixed or replaced with the ones we actually ordered (thankfully the original samples were also in the order envelope), David was very rude to us, insisting that they were the same. After a prolonged and heated exchange, he finally admitted that they were in fact different... yet incredibly despite this, insisted that we should just take them and that we'd get used to them within a few weeks. I stated clearly we had no intention of completing the sale, and I firmly asked that he provide us with the rings we actually ordered. This was refused by him, whereupon he said it was now impossible to make the rings we ordered because the original craftsman was no longer in his workshop. Any further questions related to this were deflected and astoundingly turned into slurs of insults and finally into disbelief on his part that we had such exacting expectations. Amazingly even after this, and because we liked the originals so much, I asked if he could simply modify the samples to fit our requirements. No. He said he didn't want to spend any further time on us and said simply take these rings or take a refund. As a final insult he completely refused to offer an apology, even when pressed to do so. Unbelievable. We obviously took a refund. But now after well over a month of waiting, we're back to zero. He doesn't deserve your business and I strongly suggest you chose a reputable establishment, one where the customer is treated with respect and honesty. Disgusting service from an astonishingly rude man. Update: Val D'or's response is completely incorrect. Neither my wife nor I were happy, let alone 'delighted' with the alternative design provided. And to say I 'bulied my wife to remove the ring' is utter fabrication. For them to say so simply proves to me what an unscrupulous establishment this is. Finally even at this very last stage, they refuse to acknowledge the problem or offer any form of apology. Unbelievable.

  Poor experience, what awful customer service and poor workmanship. In my opinion all people should keep away this place, ring I was given was scuffed and scared. The fella there cleaned it up and it looked much better but I could still see scarring. Appalling.
