    Unfortunately I had forgotten my glasses and struggled to see properly and so asked for help from two members of staff during my visit on the evening of Saturday 20th May 23 circa 18.30. The first was a younger chap putting out fruit juices who was kind, helpful and greeted me with a smile when I asked for assistance. The second was the lady (Mary) working on the 10 items or fewer checkout. She was rude and patronising when I asked for her help. She clearly thought I should have been able to read the sign - what a disappointing experience. It's worth remembering that you never know how someone is feeling and the difficulties they may be having. It doesn't cost anything to be kind.

    The cafe and the toilets are letting the store down. The toasties were only toasted on one side and they need to regularly be checking and cleaning especially on a Saturday daytime.

    Not served at the cafeteria for 7 minutes due slow 'partner' or understaffed? I went to the hot food counter instead, as in the hurry. After I purchased half of a BBQ chicken and a baguette I went back to cafeteria to eat it. I was very happy with the taste of it and with free coffee, however it's massively overpriced and the baguette was undercooked. The real shock came afterwards, the store manager himself asked me to leave and never come back. Apparently, I'm not allowed to eat 'my own food' in the cafeteria. I done it all my life and in every Waitrose I visited in the UK and never had a issue with that. Those 'rules' are silly and out off date, if those exist. What's the point to sell hot food, if you not allowed to eat it in. No surprise the cafeteria is always empty. Hope more customers will go to Aldi and Lidl. Managers at Waitrose out of touch with reality and no business minded skills. I just found a hole on the market and it make my day. AND WAITROSE LOST ANOTHER CUSTOMER FOREVER.
