I took the SSI Open Water course over two weekends and would highly recommend. My situation was I had to get this done at last minute. The course was part in Borehamwood swimming pool and part Wraysbury diving lake. The lake was better than expected with underwater features like a school bus and plane. I did this in a wetsuit but could be done in a drysuit. Seems popular with divers. Would bring your own food though as food options there not the healthiest/ best quality! Phil is an excellent teacher and very passionate about diving. I particularly appreciated his patience and help on other topics like gear and underwater photography. I’ll probably come back and do further training with him.

My friend and I had completed our SSI Scuba Diver course on holiday and were looking for a place in/near London we could do our upgrade to Open Water. After contacting several dive centres, Waterworld was the only place that could offer us exactly what we were after! Phil was very accommodating and sorted out all the admin required promptly. Great service to a noob. The guys spent hours chatting to me taking me through all the options I had available to me and doing so in a way that was supportive but not sales-y. Went in for mask and snorkel and came away with that plus knowledge of best place to look for drysuit, suggested courses, recommended order of acquiring kit etc. etc. Will definitely shop there again!
