An overall enjoyable experience, and we would eat here again, but we won't be specifically planning it. It's a beautiful place with a lovely, warm, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. Despite being busy, a wedding function in full flow and us not having a booking reserved, the staff accepted our booking as a walk-in. I ordered Coca-Cola but was served Coke Zero, so that had to be changed. The menu was really good. Having taken up a member of staff recommendation of the Lamb Rump, when the plate arrived it looked stunning, but the different elements were all all different temperature levels ranging from boiling hot potatoes, to luke warm Lamb. Just a smidge of Jus left the meal feeling quite dry too. As Lamb is my favourite meat, I was left feeling quite disappointed by the lack of flavour with the whole meal. We paid £70 for 2 x two course meals and a drink each, which had it have been faultless would have been reasonable, but I have had better for less. If we found ourselves in the area and hungry, we would return, but I would have a different meal.
