Mainly for Chinese food , esp. Szechuan style which is very hot. You may choose little hot, but is still hot to me, unless you ask for exclusion of raw baby chillies which is the main source of hotness. They are anyway delicious. There are many varieties and adequately priced. It has become my favourite place for serious eating. Service is casual and comfortable. No parking facilities, but I park the car in front of the shop along the street like others, partly riding the kerb so that I may watch. No problems usually for dinners. But this family run shop closes occasionally for no obvious reasons. Therefore, book your place in advance is advised. Recommended.

Stunning food and fantastic service. What a gem. Wish this standard was in Kent. Kid-friendliness: Beautiful no msg enhanced food, service phenomenal. In terms of authenticity this has to be one of the best out there. Great food and good prices and portions.

Checked this place out last night and fantastic doesn't do it justice. All the staples you would expect to find on the menu, then you get to the second half full of Szechuan and Northern dishes, the choice was a little bewildering but the friendly staff helped us navigate and the resulting meal was some of the best Chinese if not the best Chinese food we've ever had. One thing's for sure we will be back. Forgot to mention the price it's amazing value but you will need to bring cash.

JDJIM (1 review) Swindon, United Kingdom Went here (25/03/2023). Went down from Rugby, Warwickshire (about a 5 hour round trip, yeah I've moved since living living in Swindon), to take my Son and his girlfriend out for dinner for his upcoming birthday. They had previously said that the food here was fantastic, so wanting to try it, I said let's go here. I wasn't disappointed. I want to put this context, my son's girlfriend, although not Chinese, lived in China for 14 or so years (so she knows real Chinese food, as do her parents) she said that this is the most authentic Chinese food she has ever had outside of China. Even her parents said the food here was authentic and superb when they visited last year. On the strength of eating here, my son said he'd be happy to visit and eat in China. To be honest, after eating here this eve, I'd say the same. Ok, so it helps if you have a 'guide' familiar with real, proper Chinese food, but the staff are very friendly and very helpful so don't be scared. Give it a try. This isn't you average 'English' Chinese restaurant/takeaway, this is proper Chinese food and absolutely delicious. The bean dish is fantastic, to die for, I could have just eaten that with some rice, as was the beef broth with noodles. Being English and naive on real authentic Chinese food, i also ordered a Chicken Chow Mien to feel safe, the best I've ever had and I judge Chinese restaurants/takeaways on this. The only one that comes close is Star East on Paxcroft Mead, Hilperton in Trowbridge. You can walk past this place without noticing it, but do try and search it out, I wasn't disappointed, you won't be. I've seen comments about pricing, but £43 for 3 people, for absolutely delicious food (which we struggled to finish) I call that a bargain. I can't wait to find an excuse to visit again.

I always visit Yumm Tumms every time I go for a weekend break to Bournemouth. The food is excellent. The restaurant is very cosy and the staff are very friendly. A large variety of menus to choose from. I guarantee once you have tasted their food you will go back again. The salt and pepper Chicken wings for starters were exceptional. Now that I am back in London I can't wait to go back to Yumm Tumms again.

If you're looking for a rare gem chinese food 💎 in the city center of Bournemouth, this is it! From the authentic, fine, and elegant food to the well-considered interior design and atmosphere, this restaurant is a standout. What's more, the superb hygiene level and well-trained staff make for a truly enjoyable dining experience. The owner, Maggie, is a lovely lady who takes care of every customer with confidence and kindness. She even recommends the most suitable dishes based on everyone's allergies and personal tastes, making the dining experience truly personalized. I highly recommend their squirrel shaped sea bass and all cold dishes, while the eastern-northern style pot food is tender and cooked to perfection. And don't forget to save room for their Hong Kong style dessert - it's very well portioned and presented, making for the perfect end to a wonderful meal.
